IN BETWEEN MY WORLDS​

This project is about identities of second and third generation immigrants in France.

I asked the persons I met how it was to grew up in France, each person shared with me their experience in a unique way.

As persons of color in a country thats predominantly white with colonial roots we can't negate the socio-cultural, economic and political integration that is asked of us and how this process can be extremely difficult when you want to make coexist all of your different cultural backgrounds in peace. I myself grew up in France with two different origins, I wanted to share all of these experiences in the most authentic way and be able to create a project in which people like me could relate. I think the sense of belonging to our societies, birth country and origins plays an important role in our personal construction and how it is connected to the "integration" process that is asked of us.
